About the role

This is a really important front line role. You represent us with every single customer you meet and their impression of Waitrose & Partners is down to you. You should be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service and have a flexible approach with the ability to use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations.

This role includes delivering, handling and selling, and is part of a team that supports store operations and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • You’ll be the friendly face of our business – the helpful driver who delivers the Waitrose quality and outstanding service to our customers’ doors. When you’re not delivering, you’ll assist with stock control and cashiering, which may involve lifting heavy products.
  • Represent the brand with every customer you meet; maintain high standards of customer service and health & safety awareness.
  • Complete driving assessments as part of the application process and maintain excellent driving skills.

Required essential experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Full valid UK manual driving licence with no more than six points; you must be 18 years old or over.
  • Part of the application process will include a licence check and a security check.

Required desirable experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a driving role.
  • Knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed.

15 hours per week. Friday and Saturday shifts - 06:30-15:00 or 14:00-21:45.
