About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers' doors. You will actively embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and welcoming running of the shop.

Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
  • Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
  • Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
  • Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
  • Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
  • Valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently.
  • IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
  • Previous driving experience, knowledge of chilled vehicles is a plus.
