Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation.

Note: Applicants must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, reviewing your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
• Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Valid B-Category UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
• IT literacy.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
