Customer Delivery Driver - Sudbury Superstore

Join us to apply for the Customer Delivery Driver - Sudbury Superstore role at Tesco.

Pay rate starts from £13.35/hour, increasing to £14.56/hour inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week for new colleagues, with options to work as few as 12 hours if preferred. We support flexible scheduling within specific availability windows, with 3 weeks' notice for shifts. If your availability closely matches but doesn't exactly fit the advertised times, we still want to hear from you.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you'll deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, meeting different customers daily. This role involves more than driving; it's about helping others and providing excellent service with a smile.

The job is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and you'll often be your own boss, with support from managers and colleagues back at base.

About the role

Availability Windows:

• Sunday: 08:00 - 12:00
• Tuesday: 10:00 - 19:00
• Friday: 18:00 - 22:00

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized
• Keeping the delivery area tidy and free of litter
• Washing trays as needed
• Loading and checking the van for roadworthiness
• Communicating with customers about order changes and substitutions, and handling refunds if necessary
• Delivering products with care, respecting customer time slots, and communicating delays

Requirements:
