Days from 08:00 to 23:00 on Sun, Mon, Sat.

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, delivering from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, our Customer Delivery Drivers meet and talk to customers in their homes every day. This role involves more than just driving: it's about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.

This role is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and customers seek help in many ways. You’ll mostly work independently, delivering to customers, with support from managers and colleagues back at base.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organized.
• Keep the back yard clean and free of rubbish, picking up litter as needed.
• Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
• Load the van, check its roadworthiness.
• Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
• Handle products with care.
• Explain substitution charges clearly.
• Deliver within the scheduled time slot.
• Call customers if arriving early or if running late.

Requirements:

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
