Job summary

Tesco is seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to bring groceries to customers’ homes, delivering friendly service with a smile. It’s hands-on, physical, and varied with shifts that fit a range of hours.

You’ll work mostly independently but have managers backing you up at base. Pay starts at £14.18/hour, rising to £15.45/hour in M25 stores, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours weekly and roles from 12 hours available.

Qualifications

• Build strong relationships with colleagues to deliver great service.

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and completing all checks to ensure it’s roadworthy, reliable, and ready to deliver great service.
• Talking customers through any order changes, substitutions, or short‑dated items in a friendly, reassuring way, and offering refunds where needed to keep the experience smooth and positive.
• Handling products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Delivering within the customer’s time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep and leaving customers feeling valued and well looked after.

You will need

• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change while out on the road and in the store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
