Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), we have opportunities for this too.

The table shows preferred work times, and your shifts will be scheduled within these times with 3 weeks' notice. We support flexibility, so even if your available times are close but not exact, we encourage you to apply.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats, meeting and talking to customers in their homes daily. This role involves more than driving; it's about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.

The job is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and while you will mostly be your own boss delivering to customers, a team of managers and colleagues are available to support you.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the van and trays are clean and organized.
• Keep the backyard tidy and pick up litter.
• Wash trays as part of the process.
• Load the van and check for roadworthiness.
• Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
• Handle products carefully and deliver within the scheduled time slot.
• Call customers before early arrivals and inform stores if running late.

Requirements

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving license (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
