Availability

Availability window: Days and times during the week as follows. Sun 07:00–11:00, Mon 07:00–11:00, Tue 18:00–22:00, Fri 07:00–11:00. Shifts are scheduled within these times with 3 weeks' notice of exact hours. We support flexibility if your available times are close but not exact to the advertised times.

Pay and hours

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 per hour for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It is policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if preferred.

You will be responsible for

Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy/organised
• Leaving the back yard clean and free of rubbish, and picking up litter
• Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
• Loading the van as required and checking the van for roadworthiness
• Talking to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with
• Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own
• Explaining to the customer that substitutions will not incur additional charges
• Delivering during the customer’s time slot
• Calling the customer before arriving at their property if you are early
• Calling the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late

You will need

• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and support a strong customer-focused store
• Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say "Thank you"
• Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store
• Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work
• Share ideas with your Manager and other colleagues on how to improve the store for customers
• A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
