Customer Delivery Driver - Hastings Extra

Join us as a Customer Delivery Driver - Hastings Extra at Tesco.

Pay rate: from £13.35/hour, increasing to £14.56/hour inside the M25, with additional location-based payments.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week for new colleagues, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We are flexible with scheduling within specified availability windows, with 3 weeks' notice for shifts.

Role overview: As the face of Tesco on the road, you'll deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, engaging with customers in their homes. This role involves driving, helping, and delivering excellent service with a smile. No two shifts are the same, and support is available from your team back at base.

Availability:

• Monday: 08:00 - 18:00
• Wednesday: 09:00 - 19:00
• Friday: 18:00 - 22:00
• Saturday: 18:00 - 22:00

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring van and trays are tidy and clean
• Maintaining a clean delivery area and picking up litter
• Loading and checking the van for safety
• Communicating with customers about orders and substitutions
• Delivering within scheduled time slots and informing customers of delays

Requirements:

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points
• Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and customers
• Energetic, adaptable, and proactive in responding to customer needs
