Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We are flexible with scheduling within the advertised availability windows, with 3 weeks' notice of shifts.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver to customers from Lands' End to John O'Groats, providing great service with a smile. This role involves driving, delivering, and engaging with customers, with support from our team back at the store.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized
  • Maintaining a tidy delivery area and picking up litter
  • Washing trays as required
  • Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness
  • Communicating with customers about order changes and substitutions
  • Delivering within the scheduled time slots
  • Calling customers before early arrivals and informing stores if late

Minimum requirements:

  • Build positive relationships with colleagues
  • Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues
  • Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change
  • Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations
  • Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving license (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
