Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to bring Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors, delivering high standards of quality and friendly customer care. You'll begin in-store, then load your van, plan routes, and ensure vehicle safety checks while representing the Waitrose brand with excellent service.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to cope with physical requirements (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Able to work independently, be self-motivated and adaptable.
• IT literacy for ordering systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Check daily delivery routes and plan the day.
• Load and prepare the van for deliveries and ensure orders are complete.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance, health and safety.
• Act as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with a focus on customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport through service.
• Support wider shop team with general tasks when required.
