Job summary

Tesco is hiring Customer Delivery Drivers to deliver groceries directly to customers' homes, providing a friendly and efficient service. You will work independently most of the day with on-site support from managers and colleagues when needed.

The role involves loading, maintaining your van, and communicating clearly with customers about order changes and substitutions. Pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in M25 stores, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week and options

Qualifications

• Proven customer-facing service experience.
• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence required for at least 12 months with <=3 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently with a positive, friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries and orders to customers within agreed time windows.
• Load and unload deliveries safely and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Keep customers informed about order changes and substitutions, handling refunds when needed.
• Ensure van, trays and work area are clean, tidy and roadworthy.
• Build rapport with customers and colleagues to maintain high service standards.
• Be flexible and adapt to changing routes, schedules and store requirements.
