Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doors in the UK. You’ll driver a van, handle orders with care, and provide friendly service with a smile. The role offers guaranteed hours (min 16 per week) and shifts flexible to business needs, with potential extra pay in some locations.

Pay starts at £14.18/hour, rising to £15.45/hour in stores within the M25. You’ll need a valid UK driving licence with up to 3 penalty points.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence with at least 12 months' experience and no more than 3 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete checks to ensure it's roadworthy and ready to deliver.
• Discuss order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items with customers and offer refunds where needed.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer's time slot, providing warm service at the doorstep.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to maintain team spirit and service quality.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs while on the road or in-store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
