Rate of Pay

Starts from £12.92/hour; increases to £14.05 inside M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We support flexible scheduling within the advertised availability windows, with 3 weeks' notice for shifts. We welcome applicants seeking flexibility, stability, or career change.

Customer Focus

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver to customers from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, engaging with them in their homes daily. This role involves more than driving; it’s about helping others and providing excellent service with a smile.

• Hands-on, physical, and varied shifts. No two days are the same. You’ll deliver to customers independently but have support from managers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Delivering your part of the shopping trip by:

• Keeping the van and trays clean and organized.
• Maintaining the back yard and picking up litter.
• Washing trays as part of the process.
• Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness.
• Communicating with customers about their orders, substitutions, and refunds.
• Handling products carefully and delivering within the scheduled time slot.
• Calling customers before early arrivals and stores if late.

Requirements

• Building good relationships with colleagues.
• Being warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues.
• Responding quickly to customer needs and embracing change.
• Being energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
• Sharing ideas for store improvement.
• Having a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
