Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, you’ll deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, meeting customers in their homes daily. This role involves more than driving; it’s about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.

This role is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and you’ll deliver to customers’ homes with support from managers and colleagues back at the store.

Whether you seek flexibility, job stability, or a career change, everyone is welcome at Tesco.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep the back yard clean and free of rubbish, picking up litter as needed.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van and check its roadworthiness.
  • Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
  • Handle products carefully and treat deliveries as your own.
  • Explain to customers that substitutions won’t incur additional charges.

Requirements:
  • Build good relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
  • Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues.
  • Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change.
  • Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
