Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), we have opportunities for this too. We welcome your application regardless of your preferred hours.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, you'll deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats, meeting and assisting customers in their homes. This role involves more than driving; it's about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
• Leaving the delivery area tidy and collecting litter.
• Washing trays as part of the process.
• Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness.
• Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
• Delivering within the scheduled time slot.
• Calling customers if early and informing the store if delayed.

Requirements:

• Build positive relationships with colleagues.
• Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change.
• Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
• Share ideas for improvement.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
