As one of our Installation Specialists based in a Customer Delivery Hub, you'll have the opportunity to deliver our distinctive John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs as part of a two-person delivery team. Driver Installer Responsibilities

Your day begins at the delivery hub, followed by route deliveries, which include:

• Representing the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service
• Loading your vehicle with deliveries alongside the warehouse team
• Respecting customers' homes and handling unexpected situations professionally
• Installing products efficiently and demonstrating their operation
• Staying updated on new products and technologies
• Maintaining a safe working environment

This role involves heavy lifting, including large items like sofas, white goods, and beds.

Essential Skills/Experience for CDH Driver Installer

• Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points)
• DCPC and Tachograph Card
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle
• Customer-facing experience
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of technology

Desirable Skills for Installer Role

• White goods installation and disconnection
• TV installation
• Assembly of flat-pack furniture

Driver Technician Responsibilities

Similar to the Installer, but includes coaching colleagues, handling a variety of installations such as wall-mount TVs and integrated appliances, and maintaining safety standards.

Heavy lifting is also required.

Skills/Experience for CDH Driver Technician

• Same driving licence requirements as Installer
• Experience in electrical and furniture product delivery and installation
• Experience with electrical installations and wall-mount TVs
• Assembly skills for flat-pack furniture

Work Schedule

Full-time (41 hours/week) from 06:00-17:00, Monday to Saturday, or part-time (30.75 hours/week) Thursday to Saturday.
