Job description

Job Title: Customer Controller

We are currently seeking a Customer Controller to join our Customer Service team at our Warrington site.

As a Customer Controller, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, offering support and customer service in a fast-paced environment to provide a professional service to Stobart customers.

Shift and Working Hours

Shift: 4 fixed nights (4 on 3 off)

Working hours: 44 hours per week, including an hour's unpaid break:

  • Tuesday: 18:00 - 02:00
  • Wednesday to Friday: 18:00 - 06:00
Salary

£26,416 per annum.

Key Duties
  • Act as the first point of contact regarding customer deliveries, from collection to delivery, escalating issues as needed.
  • Accurately create all customer orders on the ESL in-house system as per requirements.
  • Liaise with Planning Teams and process change requests to ensure timely collection and delivery.
  • Manage Driverline calls.
  • Coordinate with Forecasting, Planning, and AM teams on additional or short notice loads and costs.
  • Monitor delivery compliance, investigate issues, and report outcomes.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, seeking approval from the CS Manager when necessary.
  • Learn and utilize customer-specific systems.
  • Capture and report additional costs within specified timeframes.
  • Complete reports such as dashboards and discrepancy reports as required, liaising with managers.
  • Ensure consignments are rated correctly and within timescales.
  • Complete daily task lists to confirm all requirements are met.
  • Support the Customer Service team as needed.
  • Stay updated with news, vacancies, and process updates via the ESL Intranet.

  • Experience in a customer service environment or similar role.
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, conscientious, and adaptable.
  • Driving license and personal transport are essential.
