If so, Skipton Building Society has the perfect opportunity for you!

We are recruiting for a Customer Consultant at our multisite branches in West Kirby and Chester.

The Customer Consultant role involves engaging with customers to identify their needs, providing information about our savings products and services, and delivering a straightforward, helpful service with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Our branches are central to local communities, but we also support customers online and via our contact centre, offering face-to-face, virtual, and outbound interactions to meet their needs. You will always prioritize customer needs and aim to deliver a first-class service.

For customers, you will be more than just a friendly face and voice—you will listen, problem-solve, and become a knowledgeable resource to help them achieve their financial goals.

We value diversity and are interested in who you are as a person. Our colleagues come from varied backgrounds, and we aim to help you take the next step toward a better future.

Join us and help build a better society!

What Will You Be Doing As A Customer Consultant?

  2. Engage and understand: asking insightful questions to uncover customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

  3. Listen and tailor solutions: understanding each customer’s circumstances and offering personalized advice.

  4. Proactive outreach: contacting customers by phone to discuss their needs and support options.

  5. Maintain accurate records: updating customer information in our systems, with attention to vulnerable customers.

  6. Adhere to policies: following our standards and controls, supported by training and coaching.

What Do We Need From You?

  • Previous customer interaction experience, in banking, retail, food & beverage, guest services, health/care, or similar sectors. We value a passion for delivering exceptional service and going above and beyond.

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

  • Ability to handle busy days and a variety of customers with good time management.

  • Flexibility to grow, adapt, and change with business needs.
