Job summary

Aramark in Leeming, United Kingdom, is seeking a friendly Retail Assistant for a permanent role. You will deliver excellent customer service, operate tills, stock and display products, maintain shop cleanliness, and assist with merchandising to drive sales.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with till systems and POS technology.

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift stock items.
• Flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays.

• Desirable: Problem-solving abilities and initiative in identifying customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering enquiries, and assisting with product selection.
• Operate the till and payment systems accurately, handling cash and card transactions with precision.
• Stock shelves and displays, ensuring products are arranged neatly, clearly priced, and rotated according to stock rotation procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organisation, including tidying fitting rooms, aisles, and storage areas.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and assist with visual merchandising to enhance product presentation.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and elevate issues where necessary.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Contribute to achieving sales targets through suggestive selling and product knowledge.
