Overview

Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, where you'll play a vital role in keeping our store running smoothly behind the scenes. We're looking for hardworking individuals who take pride in ensuring our products are delivered, organised, and ready for our colleagues and customers.

Working Pattern:

  • Sunday- 06:30-12:30
  • Monday- 04:30-10:30
  • Thursday- 04:30-10:30
  • Friday- 04:30-10:30
  • Saturday- 04:30-10:30

To comply with health and safety legislation and keep our colleagues safe in the workplace, colleagues in this role must be 18 years of age or older.

Please note that the + £3.00 p/h unsocial premium is only added on any hours worked between 22:00-06:00

Responsibilities
  • Accept deliveries, unpack goods, and prepare crates to ensure the shop floor is always fully stocked.
  • Maintain stock availability and assist in keeping products accessible for customers.
  • Use in-store systems and tools to track deliveries, manage stock, and ensure products are located correctly.
  • Work with colleagues across the store to support smooth operations and create an inclusive environment.
  • Be flexible and ready to adapt to changing store needs and operational tasks.
Key Accountabilities
  • Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.
  • Keep the store clean and tidy with shelves stocked.
  • Monitor and respond to daily sales targets, priorities, promotions, and selling opportunities.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations, and deliver remarkable service.
  • Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend products and services.
  • Receive training to utilise digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer.
