Job summary

Sainsbury's Limited is hiring a Customer Assistant on nights at the Talbot Green store in Pontyclun. The role involves stocking shelves, maintaining a clean workspace and assisting customers with warmth and energy. Shifts run overnight across multiple weeknights, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely

Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident
