Job summary

Sainsbury’s in Kidlington is seeking a Customer Assistant on nights to help stock shelves, keep areas tidy and serve customers once trained.

You’ll move stock from the warehouse to the shopfloor, work across store sections including chilled and frozen areas, and use digital tools to perform tasks accurately. A team‑driven, flexible approach is required, with potential checkout duties after training.

Job description

What you’ll be doing

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident
