About the role

As a Customer Assistant in one of our John Lewis shops, you'll ensure our difference is felt through outstanding customer service and exceptional in-store experiences that outshine our competitors. Alongside providing great service, you'll maintain shop standards through displays, stock availability, and cleanliness. Understanding your customers will enable you to offer the best service we're known for and foster their loyalty to our brand for a lifetime.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
• Utilize your product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits for the Partnership.
• Prioritize the customer, proactively understanding their needs and resolving queries.
• Support the wider team by working flexibly across the shop, including till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing, and shop-keeping tasks.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Support accurate stock counts to help protect our profits.

Essential skills/experience you'll need

• Basic IT literacy.
• Strong communication skills.

Desirable skills/experience

• Experience in a customer-facing role (training provided if not).
• Merchandising and product display experience.
