Job summary

B&Q Hereford is hiring a part-time Customer Advisor - TradePoint to join our team. You’ll deliver friendly customer service, assist with stock and displays, and help customers with home improvement needs. Training may include paint-mixing and timber cutting; a strong team player is essential.

Shifts cover Monday–Sunday, 7:00am–10:00pm, with an hourly rate around £13.10. This is a permanent, part-time role at the Hereford store.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing; eager to learn and help others.
• Willing to work in a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Able to use new technology and learn new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Sell and advise customers while helping with home improvement projects.
• Manage stock and set up store displays to maintain a great store appearance.
• Opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting; strong customer service as priority.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
