Job summary

B&Q Limited in Uttoxeter is hiring a Customer Advisor on a fixed-term contract. You will work full time (36.75 hours per week) with shifts across Monday to Sunday, 7:00am to 10:00pm, and be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, helpful, and eager to learn customer service in home improvement
• Teamwork and adaptability to rota including weekends and bank holidays
• Comfortable with using new technology and displays in-store

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
