Job summary

B&Q Stafford is seeking a friendly Customer Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis. You’ll help customers with their home improvement projects, share product knowledge, and guide them to the right solutions while ensuring the store looks inviting.

You’ll handle stock, set up displays, and participate in a rota that covers weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. Training in paint-mixing and timber cutting may be provided, with a strong emphasis on delivering great service.

Qualifications

• Friendly and eager to learn, with a customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to work a rota including weekends and evenings.
• Interest in home improvement and helping customers choose the right products.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge.
• Assist in stock management and store displays.
• Support sales and upsell opportunities.
• Maintain a tidy, well-presented shop floor.
• Learn paint-mixing and timber cutting as needed.

What’s the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What We Need

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
