Job summary

B&Q Enfield is seeking a part-time Customer Advisor to help customers complete home improvement projects and keep the store welcoming.

Shifts run 7.00am–10.00pm, 16 or 24 hours per week on a 3‑month fixed-term contract, at £14 per hour including a location allowance. You’ll learn paint-mixing and timber cutting while delivering outstanding service to shoppers.

Qualifications

• Friendly and eager to learn, with a passion for helping customers.
• Strong communication and people skills to assist diverse shoppers.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product questions and recommendations.
• Help manage stock, set up displays and keep the store tidy.
• Contribute to sales by providing great service and product knowledge.

UK Notional hourly rate £14 per hour (Inclusive of an £0.90 per hour, store specific location allowance)

What's the job?

Join our team, and you'll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You'll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you'll be right at home with us. You're friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others.
