A local council in Brough is seeking a motivated Customer Advisor to join their Libraries and Customer Services team. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and promoting library engagement. Ideal candidates should possess strong customer care and organizational skills, with a willingness to work with diverse community members. This is a dual role, working as a Customer Advisor in Customer Services and Libraries based at the East Riding Petuaria Centre, Multi-Service Centre, Brough.

What you will be doing:
Working as a Customer Advisor your role will be to provide a customer and library service ensuring the delivery of a high quality customer transaction, enquiry and information service to local residents.
You will engage with customers and local partners to develop and promote the service, including supporting increased use of our self service information facilities, and promotion of our Health Agenda. You will also support activities within the centre such as childrens activity sessions and Adult groups.

We are looking for a motivated and confident individual with excellent customer care and organisational skills.
You are someone who enjoys working with customers of all ages and you can deal with difficult situations effectively, keeping calm under pressure.
You will have excellent communication skills and have an enthusiastic approach to delivering good customer service. This is a challenging and demanding role, and full training will be given.
This job would suit someone with experience of working with the public and answering telephone enquiries.
The role can be physically demanding and involves moving around the workplace, assisting customers, moving library stock to and from shelves, restocking display areas, loading/unloading of small crates of library materials/book stock and caddy liner boxes.
The role is fixed term for 12 months.
