The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

From your first day with us, you will be part of a policing family making a real difference. Our mission is to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm, and keep people safe.
In this varied and responsible role, you will support investigations by ensuring all custody facilities remain operational, stocks are maintained, and visual/audio recordings are produced in evidence as required by investigating officers and leadership.
Surrey Police pride ourselves on detainee care, and your oversight of facilities is central to this mission.
Based at Salfords, Staines, or Guildford, you must be able to travel as cover may be required at a second location or at short notice. Travel expenses will be reimbursed at the force rate.
You will often deal with inquiries from partner agencies, suppliers, solicitors, and officers, requiring good communication skills, prioritization, and a working knowledge of computer systems, especially Microsoft Office and CCTV/audio-visual systems.
Essential qualities include being a good communicator and team player. You will work closely under supervision, engaging with diverse individuals. Qualities such as being firm but fair, compassionate, humorous, problem-solving, and self-starting are vital.
