Job Description:

As a Custody Asset Servicing Vice President within the Custody Operations team, you will be responsible for front to end processing of 1700+ clients, with $27.8 trillion Assets under Custody across 100 Global markets. This includes Onboarding, Settlements, Client Service, and Asset Servicing.

Job responsibilities
  • Ensure all accounts across custody are known and certified periodically to ensure consistency in reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues and enquiries related to Nostro and internal breaks with timely issue identification and escalation with proposed remediation.
  • Complete regulatory oversight, reporting, and escalation of Operations functions to other jurisdictions / Legal entities.
  • Identify, drive, and implement process improvements across Custody Operations in terms of break resolution. Collaborate with Operations, Product, Change Management, and Tech to identify tech solutions (Auto-match / build enhancement).
  • Conduct spot checks to ensure effectiveness and consistency on existing controls and breaks management periodically. Review key themes / reasons creating breaks to ensure controls are regularly reviewed, implemented, and followed.
  • Ensure clear, well-documented communication between internal teams, ensuring SOPs and SLAs are frequently reviewed and updated for consistency.
  • Provide effective team communication through regular one-to-ones and team meetings, informing about changes impacting the team, including market changes, functional moves, and procedural/service changes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Successful performance in a risk-based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction.
  • Results-based experience demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Experience in a changing environment with the ability to learn, document, and implement new processes efficiently.
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and effective time management skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven team management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in communicating both orally and in writing with management, clients, and colleagues.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Financial Services background, ideally within a Custody or Investment Bank environment.
  • Experience managing global teams within Custody Operations, with expertise in Asset Servicing, Trades, Settlements, etc.
