Job summary

Mitie Group plc. seeks certified nurses or paramedics to deliver healthcare in Police Custody Suites across the UK. Two years post-qualification experience in patient-facing clinical settings is required, alongside a valid driving license.

You will be part of a team ensuring round-the-clock care for detainees. NMC/HCPC registration paid; full-time with fixed shifts, and potential part-time or bank contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical settings such as A&E, GP, Emergency Medicine or Prison Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites on a 24/7 rota.

This experience should demonstrate your ability to deliver high-quality care, work under pressure, and manage diverse clinical situations effectively.

You must have a Driving license

In collaboration with the Police, you'll serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in the custody suites, in line with a schedule agreed upon with our client.

The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area

• Salary £20,7500 per year
• £500 bonus when completed 12 months service.
• Part time - this entails fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and night shifts of 18:45 to 07:00, working in a team rota pattern of 2-day shifts on, 8 days off, 2 nights, 4 days off. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.

• These patterns are contractually agreed with the customer: whereas there may be opportunities for a part-time or mutually agreed "Bank" contract, we require all employees to work full shifts, and part-time employees still need to carry out some Night shifts.

• Average estimated overtime £3500 per annum

• NMC/HCPC Registration paid

Requirements:

• RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration):2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum

• Paramedic 2 years post qualification.

• Must have RTW, Lived in UK British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months

• All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
