Zusammenfassung

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Police Custody Health Care. The ANP will deliver specialist clinical judgment, triage, treatment and management within a forensic custody setting, collaborating with Police Scotland and COPFS to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The post requires Masters level ANP, NMC registration, V300 prescribing, and substantial post-registration experience, including leadership in multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse on the NMC Register.
• Be recorded as a Nurse Independent/Supplementary.
• Prescriber (V300) with the NMC.
• An appropriate Masters level qualification in Advanced Practice.

Aufgaben

• Triage/assess patients and initiate treatment per guidelines.
• Take comprehensive histories and perform examinations.
• Initiate investigations to improve access to treatment.
• Screen patients using clinical findings and records.
• Initiate drug therapy within guidelines and V300 prescriber rules.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures as appropriate.
• Contribute to audits and research for best practice.
• Disseminate research findings to influence care.
• Lead or support research in custody healthcare.
