Job description

To provide extraordinary customer service to all Safe Deposit customers and visitors by living the Selfridges values and ensure all customers receive the appropriate welcome and information in a secure and discreet environment.

As a Safe Deposit Custodian, you will be responsible for handling safe deposit box visits, opening new Safe Deposit Box contracts, and maintaining existing contracts. You will also manage customer payments, including invoices, cash/cheque/card payments, handle safe deposit box contract queries, and aim to exceed service goals by minimizing customer wait times and serving customers efficiently and accurately.

As a Safe Deposit Custodian, you will:

  • Deliver an extraordinary experience for all customers
  • Tailor the service to individual needs without compromising laws or policies
  • Apply discretion and professionalism in all situations
  • Be aware of and promote additional services when appropriate
  • Use initiative and take responsibility for decision-making
  • Work diligently to adhere to compliance policies and procedures to minimize risks
  • Offer tailored advice based on clients' needs (e.g., suggesting appropriate Safe Deposit box sizes)
  • Be knowledgeable of competitors' policies and services
