Job description

Custodial Service and Commissioning Engineers

To carry out regular servicing, reactive maintenance, and commissioning of our Custodial clients’ Fire detection, Cell Call, General Alarm, and other associated HMP establishment systems. Alongside completing and submitting all relevant documentation. Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of, and compliance with, all relevant British Standards and MOJ standards is essential.

  • Job Location: All Regions - priority: Preston, Leeds, York, and Humberside

Contract Type: Full time

Salary: £26,400 - £37,000 (dependent on experience and location)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Typical Responsibilities
  • To work with and under instruction from Custodial Services Team Members, complying with work instructions, company policies, and Health and Safety procedures.
  • To provide support to our nationwide network of custodial customers. Due to the geographical locations, a willingness to travel long distances as and when required, to maintain the level of service we are expected to provide is essential. This position will require the flexibility of working away for short periods; however, this would be part of an agreement on a job-by-job basis.
  • To maintain a working knowledge of simple circuits and measuring devices and an understanding and respect of electrical circuits, as well as undertaking training courses where necessary.
  • To act as a Company Ambassador. You must be smart in appearance, pleasant in attitude, and capable of communicating diplomatically to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Regular routine servicing and reactive maintenance of our clients’ Fire Alarm and custodial associated systems.
  • With relevant training, commission our clients’ Fire Alarm and associated custodial systems.
  • Maintain an accurate and high standard of Customer, Company, and Personal paperwork.
  • Undertake ‘On-Call’ duties as part of your Team.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role.
