Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)

Our client, a successful and inclusive academy based in Braintree, Essex, is seeking to appoint a Curriculum Teaching Lead for English from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to take on a leadership role focused on curriculum innovation, student progress, and teaching excellence.
About the Role:
Leading curriculum planning and delivery across KS3 and KS4 English
Supporting and mentoring colleagues to raise standards in teaching and learning
Driving improvements in literacy, assessment, and outcomes within the department
Working collaboratively with the Head of Department and senior leaders
Contributing to whole-school initiatives and CPD delivery
About You:
A qualified English teacher with a track record of strong classroom practice
Experienced in curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and departmental leadership
Committed to raising attainment and fostering a love for literature and language
A strong communicator with the ability to lead, inspire and support colleagues
Ambitious, reflective, and passionate about inclusive education
