Responsibilities as our Curriculum Support Specialist will include:
- First point of contact for all students and staff in the administration office
- Act as point of contact on behalf of Directors and Learning Managers of Curriculum, including taking telephone calls, dealing with messages, and progressing matters for management attention.
- Coordinate and organise curriculum area events and appointments, e.g., parents evenings, awards evenings, events, interviews, visits, and room bookings.
- Provide administrative support for academic staff, e.g., taking messages, liaising with staff and parents to arrange meetings, writing letters to students/parents, photocopying, and general administration duties.
- Build and maintain links and knowledge with curriculum teams, providing support in the areas as required including minute-taking at meetings, and attending training and events as necessary.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of curriculum areas, e.g., communicating timetable changes, reporting and recording staff and student absence/lateness, ordering stationary, certificate administration, filing, generating and handling correspondence, and data input.
- Provide high levels of customer service.
As our Curriculum Support Specialist, you'll ideally have:
- Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
- Appropriate qualification to level 2/3 standard
- Experience of working in a busy office environment and managing a diverse caseload
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Good command of the English language and grammar
- An understanding of GDPR, data protection, and health and safety requirements and how this aligns with the working environment
- A sound operational knowledge of structured transactional/administration processes and systems
- The ability to maintain complex records
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
