Responsibilities as our Curriculum Support Specialist will include:

  1. First point of contact for all students and staff in the administration office
  2. Act as point of contact on behalf of Directors and Learning Managers of Curriculum, including taking telephone calls, dealing with messages, and progressing matters for management attention.
  3. Coordinate and organise curriculum area events and appointments, e.g., parents evenings, awards evenings, events, interviews, visits, and room bookings.
  4. Provide administrative support for academic staff, e.g., taking messages, liaising with staff and parents to arrange meetings, writing letters to students/parents, photocopying, and general administration duties.
  5. Build and maintain links and knowledge with curriculum teams, providing support in the areas as required including minute-taking at meetings, and attending training and events as necessary.
  6. Assist with the day-to-day running of curriculum areas, e.g., communicating timetable changes, reporting and recording staff and student absence/lateness, ordering stationary, certificate administration, filing, generating and handling correspondence, and data input.
  7. Provide high levels of customer service.

As our Curriculum Support Specialist, you'll ideally have:

  1. Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  2. Appropriate qualification to level 2/3 standard
  3. Experience of working in a busy office environment and managing a diverse caseload
  4. Competent in Microsoft Office applications
  5. Good command of the English language and grammar
  6. An understanding of GDPR, data protection, and health and safety requirements and how this aligns with the working environment
  7. A sound operational knowledge of structured transactional/administration processes and systems
  8. The ability to maintain complex records
  9. Good attention to detail and accuracy
