Job description

Rockley College is seeking to employ a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and motivational Curriculum Manager to join and lead our education team and deliver on our sixth form course. At Rockley, we run the NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Outdoor Adventure, a truly vocational experience for our learners, covering academic qualifications, professional national governing body instructor qualifications, and work experience.

Our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Outdoor Adventure offers students a gateway to an adrenaline-fueled world of paddlesports, sailing, windsurfing, walking, mountain biking, and climbing.

Purpose of the role

To lead, manage, and develop Rockley’s sport education provision, with responsibility for the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport. The post-holder will drive curriculum improvement and innovation, oversee staffing and student performance, and ensure that provision remains aligned to local and national skills needs.

The role combines strategic sport oversight, operational management, and teaching responsibilities. The current delivery is via the Outdoors pathway, so outdoor knowledge is an asset but not essential — strong vocational sport curriculum leadership is the priority.
