Job description

Role Title: Curriculum and Improvement Manager – Young Community Languages

Duration:

Approximately 6 months

Role requirements:
  1. Provides advice to the Interim Head of Service, Young Community Languages.
  2. Leads and project manages a sustained focus on priority outcomes for Young Community Languages, identifying and tackling inequalities.
  3. Leads recruitment, development, and management of community languages tutors.
  4. Develops and delivers curriculum, standards, business intelligence, performance, and improvement strategies for Young Community Languages.
  5. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems using creative and collaborative approaches, engaging internal and external stakeholders to influence strategy and policy.
  6. Supports the development of a network of key influencers inside and outside the organization to support Young Community Languages.
  7. Ensures the delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget, resources, and policy.
  8. Produces and analyzes management information, presenting it clearly to stakeholders.
  9. Establishes and manages a regular project reporting mechanism for business leaders.
  10. Tracks progress and escalates risks as appropriate.
Key attributes:

Evidence of significant expertise and experience in developing community languages (e.g., Bengali, Chinese, Somali) curriculum, standards, and achieving continuous improvement.
