About the Role:

To establish and co-ordinate a highly effective teaching, learning and assessment experience for Coaching apprentices to ensure all materials and learning sessions are of the highest, up to date standard and apprentices follow individualised pathways and maximise their potential and progress towards timely success.
Support Apprenticeship Tutors, teaching staff, employers and learners to ensure the programmes are effectively written with comprehensive and meaningful curriculums that meet the needs of all stakeholders.
Introduce and set up new curriculums as programmes are revised or introduced.

Job Responsibilities
Programme leadership
Manage the Coaching Curriculums and be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of innovative and market-led learning programmes ensuring their viability and value for money, quality and effectiveness in line with BPN plans and policies
Lead on writing, sharing and effectively using schemes of work and lesson plans in line with BPN processes, working in collaboration with design and eLearning colleagues to set up programmes to meet EPAO's requirements
Maintain and set up programmes on the Bud e-portfolio platform, review and update annually
Lead on the timetabling, staffing and delivery of online classrooms and the use of the VLE (Zoom) alongside the CAPs Team, to share resources and create sessions to suit apprentices and employers, meet capacity needs and build a library of lessons across programmes.
Lead on the writing and sharing of high-quality materials for the teaching of all Knowledge units across all programmes
Ensure statutory, regulatory, and key operational policies and procedures related to the management of the curriculum across all learning areas of responsibility is adhered to
Implement an effective model of standards, professionalism and positive culture through strong leadership and building high-quality, efficient, flexible and capable curriculum delivery teams in support of BPN's objectives.
Plan on-going quality improvements that will result in the highest standards of student attendance, retention, completion, achievement and progression ensuring all programmes are "inspection ready".
Liaise and work effectively with the full range of support services to ensure marketing, enrolment and support enhances the curriculum offering and recruitment, including supporting planned marketing and promotional events
Work collaboratively on cross-Department projects and activities in liaison with the Apprenticeships Director to develop and enhance innovative and improved ways of working for the benefit of learners
Lead, motivate, and support the team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including problem resolution
Collaborate closely with the Coaching Delivery Manager to role out these new programmes and ensure staffing and staff training
Prepare termly Self Assessment Monitoring reports (SAM) , alongside the Delivery Manager and have input into the annual departmental Self-Assessment Review (SAR).
Ensure and maintain standards and quality by engaging with and using BPN quality systems
Teaching Learning and Assessment
Implement a wide range of teaching and learner-centred learning strategies across the curriculum area that ensures the most effective learning, continuation, achievement and progression of apprentices, as well as the most effective use of teaching time and other resources.
Plan, use and apply modern technology in TLA including the use of Bud to enhance the learning experience and assessment process and to support progress for learners.
Plan, prepare and teach highly effective theory lessons online; share teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) good practice and celebrate learners' and others' successes including supporting on the building of functional skills resources
Work to ensure high levels of learners' attendance in all online classrooms and monitor tracking of individual learner progress
Ensure Learning Support is effectively integrated into courses in order that the work may be contextualised to the vocational area where appropriate
Ensure compliance with all course examination, assessment and validation requirements
Be responsible for creating an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment that meets the needs of all apprentices
Ensure opportunities are created and realised for learners to be able to continuously develop their English and maths skills and/or to achieve the level required by the programmes.
Ensure all materials for BPN Boost (our Personal Development programme) are appropriate and up to date for all programmes, collaborating with the Curriculum Manager for Leaders and Early Years Apprenticeships. This includes webinars, podcasts and learning materials and the scheduling and delivery of webinars.
Training
Address under performance and implement corrective methods.
Attend training to meet your own Continual Professional Development needs and business needs and record all activities
Attend and deliver Standardisation events as appropriate
Ensure the continual staff training (CPD) and staff qualifications to ensure consistency of processes and practices to meet funding, regulatory and inspectorate requirements.
Co-ordination and Support
Work closely with the Head of Delivery, Delivery Managers and the Performance Managers to ensure cohesive programmes and timely delivery and achievement
Supply information to employees and employers to support apprenticeship programmes
Provide appropriate data and information regarding the programme and learners as required and contribute to the regular self-assessment monitoring process
Supply information as required
Administration
Maintain records in central locations
Prepare regular reports for the Apprenticeships Director, Head of Delivery and across business
Workforce and capacity planning; track staffing requirements, working with the Apprenticeships Director and the apprentice pipeline to ensure the timely hiring of new employees as and when required
Other
Any other duties connected with the post as are reasonably required from time to time
