Job summary

Stanmore College invites applications for Curriculum Manager – Business & Accounting, overseeing one of the College’s largest curriculum areas. You will lead, develop and deliver high-quality Business and Accounting provision, driving improvements and staff development.

You will shape curriculum to meet learner, employer, and progression needs, monitor performance, and collaborate across the College to ensure an excellent learner experience in a modern development environment.

Qualifications

Lead and Develop Business & Accounting Provision

This is an excellent opportunity to join Stanmore College as Curriculum Manager – Business & Accounting, leading one of the College’s largest and most diverse curriculum areas. You will take a key role in the management, development and delivery of high-quality Business and Accounting provision.

We are looking for an experienced and effective curriculum leader who can lead and develop a team, maintain high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, and contribute to the continued development of the curriculum. You will play an important role in driving quality improvement, supporting staff development and ensuring our provision meets the needs of learners, employers and progression routes.

Business and Accounting is one of the College’s largest curriculum areas, and this role offers the opportunity to shape its continued development at an important time for Stanmore College. With a £60 million redevelopment creating a modern learning environment for our students, you will provide leadership that helps ensure the department continues to grow and respond to the changing needs of learners and employers.

Through strong curriculum leadership and staff development, you will help create opportunities for learners to progress into higher education, apprenticeships, employment and professional careers, ensuring the department remains ambitious and forward-looking.

The Role

You will lead the Business & Accounting department, with responsibility for managing a team of staff and overseeing the delivery and continuous development of a high-quality curriculum.

You will:

• Lead and manage a team of lecturers, supporting performance management, professional development, and the establishment of a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Drive high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring strong student outcomes.
• Develop and enhance a forward-thinking curriculum that reflects industry needs and progression pathways.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including recruitment, retention, achievement, and student satisfaction.
• Ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance processes, including internal verification and continuous improvement.
• Support student recruitment, marketing activities, and employer engagement initiatives.
• Implement strategies to support learner progress, behaviour, and progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
• Work collaboratively across the College to ensure the effective use of resources and the delivery of a high-quality learner experience.

About You

An experienced curriculum leader with a strong understanding of Business and/or Accounting, you will be passionate about developing both people and provision. You will bring the vision, leadership and practical experience needed to support staff, strengthen the curriculum and create opportunities for learners to achieve and progress.
