About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full Time, 27.5 hours per week
Number of Positions: 1
Qualifications Required: Qualified Teacher Status / a degree or equivalent qualification / successful teaching experience in the relevant phase
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Leader in Religious Education and Character, Culture, and Community (PSHE/SRE) at MEA Central.

This is a permanent position on the teaching scale MPS-UPS plus TLR 2.3/2C allowance of £8,279.

We’re looking for:

  • A qualified and experienced teacher eligible to work in the UK, ready to take on additional responsibility and drive improvements across the curriculum.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner consistently delivering good/outstanding lessons.
  • Thorough knowledge of Religious Education and Character, Culture, and Community subjects, along with an understanding of current curriculum developments.

Main purpose of the job:

This is a middle management position. In addition to the responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, the post holder will provide professional leadership, management, and develop excellence in pedagogy to ensure accelerated progress for all students in your subject area.

You will lead the development of effective teaching and learning strategies in line with school and national policies to ensure a personalized educational experience for students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the curriculum team and support staff
