We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Curriculum Lead for Art to join our team at the Firsbrook Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Art curriculum area, ensuring that pupils have access to a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum that promotes creativity and excellence.

This is an exciting moment to join our journey as a school, recently judged as Good by Ofsted, and to make a significant impact on the lives of our young people. We seek someone with dedication, vision, and drive to support departmental leadership and provide the teaching team with expertise and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage the Art curriculum across the secondary centres.
  2. Oversee pupils' progress in GCSE, Entry Level, Functional Skills, and other relevant qualifications.
  3. Ensure the safeguarding of pupils and promote equality of opportunity for all.
  4. Collect and analyse subject-specific data to identify vulnerable groups and implement targeted strategies.
  5. Provide subject-specific CPD and contribute to the professional development of others.
  6. Collaborate with other schools and curriculum networks for standardisation and moderation.
  7. Conduct half-termly curriculum meetings and engage in the Performance Management Framework.
  8. Promote good attainment and support pupils in closing the achievement gap.
  9. Line manage specified staff for performance management purposes.
  10. Maintain good order and discipline within the department.
  11. Promote family engagement with the subject.
  12. Stay up-to-date with curriculum and teaching developments, demonstrating innovative and forward-thinking practices.
