Job summary

North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College is seeking a Curriculum Area Lead for Automotive and Forklift Truck/Powered Access Apprenticeships. You will oversee delivery, quality assurance, staff development, and resource allocation, while maintaining direct teaching duties to stay current in practice.

You will line manage staff, drive improvement via KPIs, and ensure alignment with employer needs and awarding body requirements within a dynamic college environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management of curriculum areas within a college setting.
• Experience in delivering quality assurance and staff development.
• Strong understanding of vocational and apprenticeship provision.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to the curriculum area and ensure delivery of courses and programmes.
• Line manage teaching staff and conduct performance appraisals.
• Lead on curriculum strategies aligned to college objectives and targets.
• Oversee timetabling, resources, and course administration.
• Monitor KPI and quality improvement actions and respond to audits.
• Support CPD and development for staff and promote collaboration.
• Ensure safeguarding and equality are embedded in all activities.
