The post holder will work with the relevant Heads of Curriculum and delivery teams in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality apprenticeship and adult learning programmes. Additionally, the post holder will lead IQA activities, coordination, and standardisation to enhance the quality and consistency of teaching, learning, and assessment across the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging learning resources supporting effective teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Conduct sampling and standardisation activities to maintain DCS on all accredited qualifications.
- Perform quality assurance activities related to apprenticeship delivery and EPA preparations.
- Track colleague competencies to ensure appropriate delivery of programmes.
- Observe teaching, learning, assessment, and support CPD activities.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain curriculum development schedules and coordinate new programme design and implementation.
- Communicate effectively regarding curriculum progress and issues.
- Stay updated on sector changes and adapt programmes/resources accordingly.
- Ensure delivery teams are informed about sector-specific legislative and regulatory changes.
- Review and evaluate programmes regularly for currency and impact.
- Research innovative teaching and assessment methods.
- Support colleagues with training and technology use.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure engaging and current programme materials.
- Support Business Development in understanding sector information for sales.
- Conduct internal verification of qualifications and support quality visits.
- Lead standardisation meetings and document outcomes.
- Ensure policies on Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection are followed.
- Maintain professionalism and support company policies on quality, information security, equality, and safety.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure Trainer Assessors maintain up-to-date observations.
- Develop and complete standardisation schedules.
- Conduct IQA sampling as per policy.
- Maintain DCS for qualifications.
- Deliver internal qualifications as needed.
- Produce and review high-quality, standardised curricula annually.
- Support new Trainer Assessors and assess skills gaps annually.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Qualifications and Training
- At least 3 years in management or a relevant L5 qualification.
- L4 Certificate in Education and Training (essential)
- L4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (essential)
- L3 Assessor Qualification (essential)
- English and Math at least L2 (essential)
- Full clean driving license and vehicle access (essential)
- L5 qualifications (desirable)
Experience
- Curriculum development and programme design experience (essential)
- Leading standardisation exercises (essential)
- Teaching and assessment across qualifications and apprenticeships (essential)
- Experience with e-portfolio systems (desirable)
