Founded by a leader in the field of simulation systems, the company has grown to over 130 people, delivering turnkey solutions to globally recognised organisations in high-tech sectors.

THE ROLE

Due to growing demand and commercial success, there is a key opportunity for a highly capable engineer to take ownership of an expanding portfolio of current products. These systems are typically customised to client needs, offering a technically varied and impactful role. You will collaborate across functions and take part in the full product lifecycle, from design to delivery, with significant opportunity for progression.

This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary engineering role requiring regular interaction across internal teams and external stakeholders.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are seeking academically strong candidates, with a degree in mechanical, electrical or systems engineering from a top-tier university. A strong academic foundation is essential, as is the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world design challenges in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Analytical problem-solving with a focus on practical delivery
  • Mechanical design and integration with electrical/control systems
  • BoM and product data management
  • Process compliance and documentation
  • Collaborative cross-functional working
  • Strong initiative and ownership mentality
  • FMEA and risk-based thinking

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of mechanical design for current products and coordinate with electrical/control systems teams to drive delivery.
  • Work with commercial and engineering leads to configure client-specific solutions, estimate scope, and manage execution.
  • Manage BoMs, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation.
  • Provide hands-on design support to manufacturing, quality, procurement, test, and support teams.
  • Identify and implement improvements in tooling, build processes, and product features.
  • Lead or support design reviews, FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation activities.
  • Continuously develop and improve product designs to enhance performance, aesthetics, cost-effectiveness, and customisation.

LOCATION

This is a predominantly on-site role at a high-specification technical facility west of Bristol. You will need to be regularly available in build, test, and demonstration areas, with occasional travel to customer and supplier locations, both in the UK and internationally.

How to Apply

If you’re a technically skilled engineer with a strong academic background and a passion for real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.
