Base pay range

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual with a passion for culture to join the Culture, leisure and events team as a Culture development co-ordinator.

We are looking for someone who has experience in culture, arts, or heritage, and possesses strong administrative skills. You will work closely with various partners to support the development of culture and creativity in Norwich and will engage with a diverse range of people. You will be an excellent communicator and team player.

Closing date: 23 May 2025

Interview date: 12 June and 13 June 2025

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery, of the culture strategy and major events strategy.
  • Support the administration of culture, and other, grant applications to the council.
  • Assist in the organisation and administration of the Creative City Compact and other boards and stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Contribute to the delivery of action plans and monitor progress. Support measuring the delivery and impact against council objectives.
  • Collate and provide information, data and reports on the performance and impact of grants, events, and projects e.g. Carrow House
  • Identify external funding opportunities and support applications either directly or by signposting to another colleagues or department, or external organisation.
  • Work with the colleagues within the Community Enabling, Environmental Strategy teams and others, to identify and support cultural and creative opportunities.
  • Provide information and advice to the internal colleagues, the public, cultural and creative individuals and organisations.
  • Facilitate the development of culture initiatives.
  • Support the wider leisure and culture team as required.

  • Paid holiday entitlement starts at 26 days per annum and increases with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per annum. This is pro rata for part-time employees
