The Cultural Safety Lead for maternity services at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals will drive equity and culturally responsive care for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women. You will coordinate link workers and interpreting services and work with multidisciplinary teams and community groups to design solutions that meet local needs.

Qualifications

• NMC registered Midwife educated to degree level or higher.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• National practice assessor training or ENB998 teaching qualification
• Evidence of study/CPD in EDI or cultural safety awareness
• Knowledge of improving outcomes for Black, Asian and minority women

Responsabilités

• Lead the delivery of a cultural safety agenda within maternity services.
• Reduce health inequalities for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women and those with additional language needs.
• Provide leadership to link workers and interpreting services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community organisations and system partners to co-design solutions reflecting local needs.
• Lead education and training to support staff development and accountability.
