The Culinary Chef will be responsible for bringing new food trends, flavor ideas, and profiles to McCormick. They will collaborate with research and development (R&D) technologists to create new product concepts for existing and potential customers. The chef will provide culinary and flavor knowledge through presentations and demonstrations, ensuring flavor and preparation integrity in all products. Additionally, the culinary chef will offer culinary services across all divisions in McCormick.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop new product concepts based on briefs and requests from flavor solutions and consumer commercial teams, ensuring timely development with appealing flavor profiles for the target consumers.
  2. Provide feedback and support to R&D and sensory teams on prototype development and relevant flavor profiles based on consumer preferences.
  3. Research food trends across SEA, collaborating with consumer insights, marketing, and sensory teams. Maintain active industry presence to stay updated on food trends.
  4. Contribute to the development of an APAC flavor forecast from the SEA region.
  5. Conduct training and presentations for technical teams, marketing, and sales teams on culinary and food trends. Support flavor solutions team in customer presentations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Discipline: Qualified Chef – Formal Culinary School Certification

Minimum Experience Required: At least 5 years of experience

Certifications and Licenses: Food Handling and Food Safety Certification

Other Skills & Competencies: Product Development
