Role: CTRM Lead Business Analyst / Functional Architect

Company: Commodity Trading House

Location: London or Geneva (3 days in either office per week)

Contract Duration: 6-12 months with likely extensions to 2 years or permanent

Rate: Flexible from £750-950 per day

Global commodity trading house seeks an experienced CTRM Lead Business Analyst / Functional Architect to join their Metals Trading business on an initial 6 or 12 month contract, based from either London or Geneva.

This is a strategic leadership role at the start of a Greenfield Metals CTRM implementation program, requiring deep functional CTRM expertise and hands-on involvement where needed.

The role:

The successful candidate will lead the business analysis stream of a Metals CTRM implementation, combining strategic oversight with direct requirements gathering and solution design for Front and Middle Office domains.

You will define the functional architecture, ensure requirements are captured and translated into system functionality, and act as the liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to align scope, integration, reporting, and compliance.

You will also lead analysis efforts for Front and Middle Office workstreams, working closely with traders, schedulers, risk managers, and operations teams.

Location:

• This role offers flexible working with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, or 5 days in either office if preferred.
• Geneva-based employees won't need to travel to London.
• London-based employees will need to travel to Geneva 2 days every other week, fully expensed.

Key skills & experience:

• 10+ years of physical commodity trading experience (Metals, Oil, LNG, Agriculture), as a Senior or Lead CTRM Business Analyst, either in trading firms or consulting roles onsite at trading companies.
• Experience across Front to Back Office, with strength in Front & Middle Office.
• Familiarity with systems like RightAngle, Entrader, CXL; technical skills in SQL, Python are a plus.
• Experience with external CTRM systems such as Aspect, Allegro, Endur.
• Specific Metals Trading experience, especially in Concentrates, and knowledge of Aspect CTRM are preferred.
